Samsung has unveiled a trio of new Galaxy S26 smartphones, with one standout feature that outshines even the iPhone. The S26 Ultra boasts a groundbreaking Privacy Display, ensuring onlookers cannot view the screen content when activated. This feature allows users to maintain privacy in public settings by making the display content disappear unless viewed directly.
The introduction of the mobile industry’s first built-in Privacy Display by Samsung in the Galaxy S26 Ultra marks a significant advancement in display technology. This innovative feature controls pixel dispersion to keep content clear and visible only to the user, enhancing privacy protection on a phone.
Apart from the Privacy Display, the Galaxy S26 Ultra features a sleeker design, extended battery life, and runs on the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform by Qualcomm. It also offers rapid charging capabilities, reaching 75% battery in just 30 minutes.
The smartphone is equipped with an updated quad rear camera that excels in low-light photography. Video recording is enhanced with improved Super Steady capabilities, including a horizontal lock option for stable home movie shooting. Additionally, the S Pen allows users to take notes directly on the 6.9-inch AMOLED screen.
Accompanying the Ultra model are the standard S26 with a 6.3-inch screen and the larger 6.7-inch Plus version, both powered by Samsung’s Exynos chip and featuring triple-lens rear cameras.
Samsung has enhanced the smart features across its new smartphone range with a Galaxy AI upgrade. New features like Now Nudge provide relevant suggestions to users, facilitating seamless task completion without distractions.
Despite the impressive updates, Samsung’s new smartphones come at a higher cost this year. The UK pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S26 series is as follows:
– S26: 256GB £879, 512GB £1,049
– S26 Plus: 256GB £1,099, 512GB £1,269
– S26 Ultra: 256GB £1,279, 512GB £1,449, 1TB (with 16GB RAM) £1,699
The new Samsung Galaxy S26 models are set to hit stores next month, offering consumers a range of advanced features and capabilities.
