New Emails Allege Trump Knew of Epstein Abuse

New Emails Suggest Epstein Accused Trump of Knowing About Abuse

In newly disclosed emails, Jeffrey Epstein alleged that Donald Trump was aware of his misconduct involving young girls and had spent substantial time at Epstein’s residence with one of the victims. These revelations, released by the House Oversight Committee, indicate that Epstein believed the U.S. President was informed about his exploitation of minors, contradicting Trump’s public disavowals.

Despite Trump’s consistent denial of any knowledge of Epstein’s illicit activities and claiming a rift with Epstein years before the financier’s death in 2019, Democrats argue that the correspondence, part of a large document trove acquired by the committee, raises fresh doubts about Trump’s level of awareness.

Representative Robert Garcia, the leading Democrat on the committee, expressed concerns, stating that the latest emails prompt critical inquiries into potential White House concealment and the relationship dynamics between Epstein and Trump.

In a 2011 email to Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein referred to Trump as “the dog that hasn’t barked,” insinuating Trump’s silence on the matter. Another message in January 2019 from Epstein to author Michael Wolff implied Trump’s awareness of the situation.

The release of these emails comes amid increasing scrutiny on Trump’s handling of Epstein-related materials during his term. Democrats accuse Trump of withholding crucial documents to shield associates and donors connected to Epstein’s inner circle, an allegation that the White House has dismissed as baseless.

The correspondence also sheds light on Epstein’s apprehension about his ties with Trump as the real estate tycoon entered the political arena. In a 2015 exchange with author Michael Wolff, Epstein sought advice on handling questions about their relationship during a Republican debate.

The Oversight Committee has shared only selected email excerpts, redacting victims’ identities and personal details. The withheld information raises questions about the extent of undisclosed evidence within the unreleased documents, fueling demands for comprehensive transparency regarding the Epstein archives.
