A golfer from Saskatchewan achieved his first hole-in-one while competing in the National Special Olympics tournament. Taylor Carter, a resident of Regina, has been playing golf since he was four years old and joined the Special Olympics team in 2013. The memorable moment occurred at the Medicine Hat Golf and Country Club during the competition.
Taylor expressed his disbelief and emotional reaction to the achievement, stating that watching the video of the shot brings tears to his eyes every time. Ashton Carter, Taylor’s nephew and caddy, accompanied him during the event. The remarkable shot took place on the 135-yard 16th hole, where Taylor confidently used a nine-iron.
Witnesses, including Taylor’s brother and family, confirmed the hole-in-one, leading to an outburst of excitement. The event was captured on video by Taylor’s sister-in-law, Kyra-Lee Carter.
