“Anthony Joshua’s Boxing Comeback Plans Remain Secret”

Anthony Joshua is prepared to keep his fans in suspense regarding his comeback to the boxing ring until just 48 hours before the fight begins. Since suffering a devastating knockout defeat by Daniel Dubois at Wembley last September, Joshua has been eager for a warm-up match before setting his sights on a high-profile showdown with fellow British boxer Tyson Fury in the upcoming year. The two-time heavyweight world champion may potentially be added to an undercard event before Christmas on short notice.

Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, revealed, “We will finalize his next fight decision this week. If he competes this year, it will be kept under wraps until fight week. We are in talks with potential opponents for a tune-up bout, aiming for a low-key approach where Joshua would weigh in and fight shortly after.” Hearn expressed his enthusiasm for this unconventional approach, emphasizing that the focus is on Joshua’s performance rather than ticket sales.

Regarding a potential match-up with YouTuber Jake Paul, Hearn explained that while discussions have taken place, no formal offer has been made. Despite Paul seeking replacement opponents for an event in December, Joshua is not among the candidates considered. Hearn mentioned, “A fight against Jake Paul could be intriguing for a run-out, but it seems unlikely at this time.”

The highly anticipated rematch between Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn is scheduled for Saturday, November 15, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Fans can watch the fight on DAZN PPV for £24.99 or access it for free with a DAZN Ultimate subscription.

As Joshua explores new coaching options after parting ways with trainer Ben Davison, he recently visited Oleksandr Usyk’s training camp in Spain. Having worked with various trainers in the past, including Tony Sims, Rob McCracken, Robert Garcia, and Derrick James, Joshua is now seeking fresh guidance for the next phase of his career.
