Disney+ is currently offering a special deal that brings down the subscription price to £3.99 per month for three months, in a move to compete with other streaming services like Netflix and HBO Max. This limited-time offer is available to both new subscribers and eligible returning customers. Normally priced at £5.99 per month, the reduced rate allows customers to enjoy three months of Disney+ for the cost of two, but they must sign up before May 6 to take advantage of the discount.
By subscribing before the deadline, customers can secure the £3.99 monthly rate for the three-month period. This offer positions Disney+ as the most affordable major streaming platform compared to Netflix (£5.99), Prime Video (£5.99), HBO Max (£4.99), and Apple TV (£9.99).
After the promotional period, the subscription will automatically renew at the regular rate of £5.99 per month, unless cancelled. Customers aged 18 and above have the option to upgrade to the ad-free Disney+ Standard plan for £6.99 (originally £9.99) or the Disney+ Premium plan for £9.99 (originally £14.99). These higher-tier plans offer enhanced features such as 4K UHD picture quality, HDR support, Dolby Atmos, and up to four simultaneous streams.
In addition, Sky has recently started offering a complimentary Disney+ subscription as part of its Ultimate TV bundle, which also includes Netflix and HBO Max. A Disney+ subscription starting at £5.99 per month provides access to popular series like Rivals, Only Murders in the Building, and The Bear, along with a wide range of content from Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and more.
The £24 per month package includes free streaming subscriptions valued at around £240 per year, as well as access to 135 channels like Sky Atlantic. Disney+ is gearing up for the second season of Rivals, starring David Tennant, with the new season set to premiere on May 15. Other new releases available for streaming include The Testaments, a dystopian drama set in the world of The Handmaid’s Tale, and the second part of the conspiracy-thriller Paradise.
Fans can also enjoy returning favorites like Scrubs and Malcolm in the Middle, which have been revived on Disney+ with new series. The platform offers a variety of movies and shows from Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, including Daredevil: Born Again and Maul – Shadow Lord.
Reality TV enthusiasts can indulge in Raising Chelsea, following Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo as they navigate parenthood. Disney+ is known for its popular franchises and has garnered positive reviews on Trustpilot, with satisfied customers praising the platform’s extensive content variety and affordability.
While some users have expressed concerns about the frequency of ads during viewing, others have commended Disney+ for its content quality, user-friendly interface, and transparent customer service. The platform aims to provide a seamless and enjoyable streaming experience for its subscribers.
