A recent tragic incident involving a fatal shooting in Montreal on June 22 sparked misleading information on social media regarding the involvement of a police officer in the death of civilian Michel Mizrahi. Contrary to initial claims, sources from Radio-Canada have clarified that the officer did not fire the fatal shot that resulted in Mizrahi’s demise. The autopsy findings revealed that Mizrahi sustained multiple gunshot wounds, with a fatal shot to the head.
Forensic analysis of the fatal shot indicated a trajectory from left to right, ruling out the possibility that it came from the police officer’s firearm, as her positioning was inconsistent with this angle. The officer, who had a tenure of only 15 months, was being pursued by the perpetrator during the incident.
