Apple has launched AppleCare One in the UK, following its introduction in the US last year. This new subscription service is now available to British customers and offers a convenient and potentially cost-effective way to safeguard multiple Apple devices under one plan.
Priced at £16.99 per month, AppleCare One provides coverage for up to three eligible devices, including iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches. In case of accidental damage, loss, or theft, Apple will either repair the device or offer up to three replacement devices per year, depending on the nature of the claim.
AppleCare One enhances the existing AppleCare+ by allowing customers to cover multiple products with a single subscription, eliminating the need for separate plans. This consolidation can result in significant savings, with Apple stating that covering an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch could save customers up to £11.48 monthly compared to individual AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss plans for each device.
One notable advantage of AppleCare One is its flexibility in adding eligible devices up to four years old to the plan, as long as they are in good condition. This extended window surpasses the typical 60-day period for purchasing AppleCare+ after acquiring a device.
Apple emphasizes that AppleCare One offers customers greater flexibility in protecting their existing devices. Additionally, the plan seamlessly adapts to upgrades – if a covered device is traded in for a new one from Apple, the old device is automatically removed from the plan, and the new device is added without any extra steps.
Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, expressed Apple’s commitment to providing exceptional experiences with AppleCare One. The service simplifies and enhances the protection offered by AppleCare+, ensuring peace of mind for UK customers with one plan, one price, and comprehensive coverage for all eligible devices.
