Nigel Farage has disclosed an income exceeding £1 million from additional jobs post the general election, marking the first reveal of his earnings since May. The Clacton MP holds the record for the most sources of paid income among House of Commons members, with a total of 12 reported “second jobs.”
According to an exclusive analysis by the Reach Data Unit of the Register of Members Financial Interests, Farage’s various roles have generated an estimated £1.2 million since the July 2024 general election. This figure surpasses the earnings of the next highest MP, former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who declared £587,000 post-election.
Among Farage’s most lucrative roles are presenting at GB News (£511,000), serving as a brand ambassador for Direct Bullion (£281,000), and creating videos for Cameo (£171,000). Notably, this latest disclosure represents the first time since the Spring that Nigel Farage has reported his additional income.
During this period, Farage received an extra £189,000 from his supplementary work, including earnings from speaking engagements for Imperial Independent Media and his presenting role at GB News. However, several of his recent payments were declared past the mandated 28-day timeframe for disclosure.
For instance, payments like the £43,491 from GB News on July 31 and three payments totaling £26,000 from Imperial Independent Media in May and June were registered only on October 3, falling outside the stipulated reporting window.
Rishi Sunak stands as the second-highest earning MP based on the disclosed data, with over £587,000 in supplementary income post the election. Following Sunak, Sir Geoffrey Cox reported over £559,000, George Freeman earned £208,000, Sir Jeremy Hunt nearly £186,000, and Nick Timothy over £181,000 in additional income.
