In Sao Lourenco da Mata, Brazil, the tragic discovery of a four-year-old girl, Ester Izabelle, inside a well has left authorities in shock. Ester’s body, found with signs of physical abuse, was located submerged in the well, alongside a condom and a chocolate milk wrapper. The incident occurred on October 21, following Ester’s disappearance the day before while playing near her home in the Pixete neighborhood.
According to Ester’s aunt, Lidiane Santos da Silva, the young girl was playing with her seven-year-old brother when a stranger abducted her. After realizing Ester was missing, her brother hurried back home to inform his mother of the distressing event. Following a widespread search effort, Ester’s uncle tragically discovered her lifeless body in the well at a neighboring property.
The police revealed that the well, approximately 3.7 meters deep and covered with a concrete slab, contained Ester’s body in an inverted position with visible signs of physical trauma, particularly to the head. Investigators also noted potential indicators of sexual assault on the victim. Adjacent to Ester’s body, a condom and a chocolate milk wrapper were found.
Recalling the harrowing experience, Ester’s uncle, identified only as Nazario, described the heart-wrenching moment of finding his niece upside down in the well with only her legs visible. Subsequently, two individuals residing in the house where the well was situated were brought in for questioning by the authorities. The property had reportedly been rented for approximately six months, as confirmed by family members and investigators. The investigation remains ongoing to ascertain the circumstances surrounding Ester’s tragic demise.
