Beauty pageant mix-up: Panama contestant gracefully handles mistaken advancement at Miss Grand International 2025

A participant confidently believed she had advanced to the final round of a beauty pageant, only to realize she had misunderstood and needed to return to her original position. Isamar Herrera, representing Panama, gracefully walked to the front of the stage at the Miss Grand International 2025 event in Thailand, thinking she was among the top 22 finalists. However, a mix-up occurred as the announcer clarified the error, apologizing for the confusion with Miss Grand Paraguay.

The contestant mistakenly called was Cecilia Romero from Paraguay. Isamar accepted the mistake with a smile and returned to her spot without showing much disappointment. Reflecting on the incident, she acknowledged the confusion, mentioning a similar situation with Miss Canada at the event. Isamar received encouraging messages from her Instagram followers, expressing sympathy and admiration for her performance.

Despite the momentary setback, Isamar’s supporters remained positive, offering words of encouragement and comfort. Ultimately, the Miss Grand International 2025 title was awarded to Emma Tiglao from the Philippines. Described as a dreamer and a student of Advertising and Marketing, Isamar is portrayed as a resilient and empathetic individual who values her loved ones and believes in the power of hard work and passion to achieve success.

Representing Panama proudly, Isamar sees the crown not just as a symbol of beauty but as an opportunity to inspire others and demonstrate that perseverance and determination can overcome any obstacle. Her mission is to serve as a role model for overcoming challenges and promoting success through love, respect, and mutual empowerment.
