Apple has had a busy week unveiling new products, including the iPhone 17e, upgraded iPad Air, and new MacBook Pro models. The latest announcement introduces the MacBook Neo, a budget-friendly laptop priced at £599, marking a significant price drop compared to the MacBook Air.
The MacBook Neo boasts a vibrant design, strong performance, and a high-resolution 13-inch display. It is powered by Apple’s A18 Pro-series processor, providing efficient performance for daily tasks. The laptop runs macOS and offers access to popular applications like Microsoft Word and iMovie.
With over 15 hours of battery life, the MacBook Neo is designed to be highly efficient. It features two USB-C ports but lacks MagSafe charging. Additional features include a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, Touch ID fingerprint scanner, dual side-firing speakers with Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos support, a Magic Keyboard, and Multi-Touch trackpad. The laptop comes in Silver, Indigo, Blush, and Citrus color options.
Pre-orders for the MacBook Neo are now open, with availability in stores starting next week. According to John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering, the MacBook Neo aims to deliver Mac’s excellence at an affordable price, offering a unique combination of design, performance, and features that set it apart from other laptops.
