Sylvia Heszterterenyiova, a 51-year-old woman residing in Sydney, Australia, proudly refers to herself as a caregiver to over 250 reborn dolls. Each of these lifelike dolls holds a special place in her heart, with some costing as much as £6,000. Her journey into the world of reborn dolls began unexpectedly when her daughters surprised her with a birthday gift.
Recalling the moment, Sylvia shared with the Mirror that her daughters, Veronika, 32, and Sofia, 28, gifted her a reborn doll named Isabella on her 40th birthday. Overwhelmed with joy, Sylvia found herself enamored by the doll’s intricate details – from its delicate features to its realistic appearance made of vinyl.
Inspired by this gift, Sylvia ventured into creating her own reborn dolls. She attended a course to hone her craft and eventually established her own company, Fairies Reborn Magic Nursery. With her daughters by her side, Sylvia nurtured her growing collection, treating each doll with care and love just like real infants.
