Young Woman Forced into Tow Truck in London: Suspects at Large

Authorities are currently in pursuit of suspects following an incident where a young woman was forcibly taken into a tow truck by two individuals on a bustling city street.

The Metropolitan Police in London have expressed worries regarding the well-being of the unidentified woman, estimated to be between 28 and 32 years old.

Investigators are urging any witnesses to step forward if they observed any suspicious activities involving a tow truck and a young woman in the Canary Wharf area on the 30th of September.

Law enforcement received reports around 11:25 pm concerning a female being coerced into a white Ford Transit tow truck by two men at the junction of Lighterman’s Road and Millharbour Road.

An investigation is currently being conducted by detectives from the Metropolitan Police’s Central East Criminal Investigations Unit.

Detective Inspector Grant Stevens, in charge of the case, stated:

“Our priority is to clarify the events surrounding this incident and ensure the safety of the young woman involved, whom we estimate to be between 28 and 32 years old and remain unidentified.

“If you were in the vicinity of Millharbour Road, E17 during the incident and witnessed any suspicious activities, or possess CCTV or mobile footage that could aid our investigation, we urge you to come forward by contacting 101.”

A 42-year-old man from east London was apprehended on the 1st of October on suspicion of kidnapping in connection to the incident and released on bail while inquiries are ongoing.
