Bargain seeker Jordon Cox has shared a tip on how to uncover a hidden expiration code for deals at Tesco. Jordon, known as the Coupon King on ITV’s This Morning, regularly imparts money-saving advice on social media platforms.
In a recent video, he disclosed that products on Clubcard Price promotion feature a six-digit number indicating the offer’s end date. By decoding the number in reverse and grouping it into pairs, shoppers can determine the deal’s expiry date – with the last two digits representing the day, the middle two the month, and the first two the year.
Tesco is encouraging customers to act promptly as £16.5 million worth of Clubcard vouchers are set to expire by the end of the month, needing redemption before midnight on November 30. Shoppers earn Clubcard points for purchases at Tesco stores, online, and at petrol stations, with different spending thresholds for points accumulation.
To receive a Clubcard voucher, a minimum of 150 points is required, equating to a £1.50 value for spending at Tesco. Presently, over 24 million UK households are holders of Tesco Clubcards.
Tesco’s Group Membership and Loyalty Director, Shama Wilson, emphasized the importance of utilizing Clubcard vouchers before expiry, highlighting the substantial value that could be redeemed through Clubcard Rewards. The Tesco app is recommended for checking any expiring vouchers.
