McDonald’s in the UK is introducing eight international items to its menu starting today. The offerings include burgers from Canada and Australia, McNuggets and beverages from Japan, sides from Poland and the United Arab Emirates, and desserts from Malaysia and Indonesia.
The new menu, available from today for a six-week period, features a variety of unique items. Among them is the Maple BBQ and Bacon Double Quarter Pounder from Canada. This burger consists of two quarter pounder beef patties topped with maple BBQ sauce, bacon, cheese, crispy onions, and pickles.
Another highlight is the Pineapple McSpicy from Australia, which is a spicy chicken burger with a slice of pineapple, bacon, cheese, and lettuce. Additionally, customers can enjoy the Garlic and Black Pepper McNuggets from Japan, made with 100% chicken breast meat coated in a crispy breading, seasoned with garlic and black pepper, and served with a garlic and soy mayo dip.
New side offerings include the Sour Cream and Black Pepper McShaker Fries from Poland, which are regular fries with a twist of sour cream and black pepper seasoning that customers can shake in a bag to coat the fries. The menu also features Mac and Cheese Triangles from the United Arab Emirates, macaroni pasta triangles in a cheddar cheese sauce with a crispy breadcrumb coating and tomato ketchup dip.
For dessert, McDonald’s presents the Choco Caramel Pie from Indonesia, a chocolatey treat with molten caramel and chocolate ganache. Additionally, two new McFlurries from Malaysia are available, the Chocolate or Caramel Pretzel McFlurry, which includes creamy soft serve with pretzel pieces and a choice of chocolate or caramel sauce.
To complement the meal, customers can try the Sakura x Sprite drink from Japan, described as a floral and fizzy refreshment.
