Thousands of emails related to Epstein have been disclosed by U.S. lawmakers, shedding light on Donald Trump’s involvement. The House Oversight Committee received 20,000 pages of documents from Epstein’s estate, including an email from Epstein to Ghislaine Maxwell mentioning Trump’s visits to Epstein’s residence.
One email from January 2019 shows Epstein informing author Michael Wolff that Trump was aware of certain activities involving underage girls. These revelations are part of an ongoing investigation into Epstein’s files and the Trump administration’s handling of the matter.
In response, Trump accused Democrats of using the Epstein issue to divert attention from other issues. Despite the emails, Trump maintains he was not aware of Epstein’s illegal activities and had severed ties with him years before Epstein’s death.
The correspondence also mentions Virginia Giuffre, identified as the “unnamed victim” spending time with Trump at Epstein’s home. The White House clarified that Giuffre had absolved Trump of any wrongdoing.
In a separate exchange, Wolff sought Epstein’s input for an upcoming interview with Trump, suggesting provocative questions related to Trump’s past ventures. Another email revealed Epstein confirming the authenticity of a photo of Andrew with Virginia Giuffre, while Andrew denied any wrongdoing in his own messages.
Additionally, Peter Mandelson advised Epstein against a BBC interview, as documented in the released emails. Mandelson expressed regret over his past association with Epstein and concern for the victims of the case.
