Ricky was laid to rest on October 12 at Manchester Cathedral, with a procession passing significant landmarks in the city, including Hatton’s gym and the AO Arena. Following a private memorial service, an inquest led by Senior Coroner Alison Mutch revealed that Ricky was found ‘unresponsive’ at home, with the provisional cause of death listed as hanging.
Paul Speak, who discovered Ricky, expressed a desire for transparency regarding the circumstances surrounding Ricky’s passing. Speak recalled finding Ricky unresponsive at home and quickly contacting emergency services, believing Ricky did not intend harm.
