A smartwatch priced significantly lower than Apple’s top-selling model and a popular supermarket ketchup have been recognized as standout products of 2025.
The consumer organization Which? meticulously tested over 2,000 items to assess their quality and value for money. They have now unveiled their top 50 products of the year, selected for their exceptional attributes. Some were deemed the best in their category, others were innovative, and some were surprisingly affordable.
Leading the list is the Amazfit Bip 6 smartwatch, known for its budget-friendly price tag of under £63 in certain outlets. Despite being a fraction of the cost of Apple’s entry-level smartwatch, it was lauded by Which? for its comparable quality. The device, equipped with exercise tracking and GPS features, garnered praise for its user-friendly interface and high-quality display, earning a perfect five-star rating. Which? commended it as a “game-changer,” emphasizing its ability to deliver premium quality at a lower price point.
In third place is Asda’s Classic Tomato Ketchup, acclaimed for its rich tomato flavor with a perfectly balanced sweetness that avoids artificial taste. In a taste test, it matched the popular Heinz ketchup but comes at a significantly lower cost per 100g.
Just ahead of Asda’s ketchup is Skoda’s Elroq electric car, the priciest product in the top 50 list at over £30,000. Which? praised the SUV for its cost-effectiveness and premium feel, stating, “This impressive car is both economical to run and more affordable to purchase compared to its competitors.”
Another standout product from the ranking is Aldi’s Magnum Premium Washing Up Liquid, securing the tenth spot with a price tag of 95p for a 500ml bottle. Outscoring its competitor Fairy Original, this budget-friendly option from the discount retailer received a commendable overall score of 73%.
The remaining products in the top 50 range from household appliances and cutting-edge technology to everyday items like duvets, pushchairs, and even chainsaws.
Harry Rose, the editor of Which? Magazine, emphasized the rigorous assessment process that evaluates real-world performance, reliability, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across various products. In 2025, the focus was on products that enhance the home experience, offering a blend of quality, convenience, and enjoyment.
