“Bike Rider Threatens Mother with Baby in Edinburgh”

A father from Scotland is cautioning residents in Edinburgh following an incident where his partner was threatened by a man on an e-bike while she was out with their baby in a pram.

The man’s girlfriend was on Wardieburn Place West at approximately 5:15 pm on Friday, October 10, when the incident occurred. Surveillance footage captured the man cycling slowly on the road, fixating on a mother pushing a pram along the sidewalk. The woman promptly moved the pram to a nearby area outside a shop or residence to avoid the man’s view, but he followed her closely, pointing his finger and uttering what seemed to be threatening words.

Authorities in Scotland confirmed receiving reports of the threatening behavior and stated that investigations are currently ongoing.

Expressing his concern, Kai mentioned that he wanted to alert others about what happened to his partner to prevent the man from targeting other women. He recounted the distressing encounter his girlfriend had, stating, “My girlfriend was returning from the shops when a man on an e-bike started following her, threatening to harm her and our child in the pram. He menaced her by threatening to harm her, getting uncomfortably close, making threats, and circling the street, all while our five-month-old baby was crying in the pram.”

“I simply wish to share this message in case he approaches another woman. Initially, he targeted another woman with a pram, but she managed to walk away,” Kai added.

A spokesperson from Police Scotland reported, “On Friday, October 10, 2025, at 5:15 pm, a report was received regarding threatening behavior in the Wardieburn Place West area of Edinburgh.”
