“Raducanu and Draper to Make United Cup Debut for Team GB”

Emma Raducanu has announced her participation in the upcoming United Cup as a representative of Great Britain alongside Jack Draper. Both players had to cut short their seasons due to health issues, with Raducanu withdrawing for medical reasons and Draper dealing with an arm problem.

This will be the debut for both Raducanu and Draper at the United Cup, as Raducanu had opted out of the Billie Jean King Cup to focus on individual competitions in Asia. Raducanu expressed her excitement about playing for Team GB and experiencing the new format of the tournament in Australia. Draper also shared his enthusiasm for competing at the United Cup and exploring new cities in Australia.

Following a challenging Asian swing after her US Open victory, Raducanu faced health concerns leading to her withdrawal from the remaining tournaments in 2025. Draper, on the other hand, returned to action at the US Open after recovering from an arm injury sustained post-Wimbledon.

Looking ahead, Draper is set to return at the UTS London exhibition event, while Raducanu will compete in an exhibition match against Amanda Anisimova in Miami before gearing up for the United Cup in January 2026. Their focus will then shift to the Australian Open as they kick off their 2026 seasons.
