LG TV owners are in for a treat this holiday season as LG has unveiled a significant upgrade to its LG Channels platform, providing a plethora of new features and additional free content, including shows from Sky. The recent update, currently being rolled out, grants select LG screen users access to Sky Sports Stories, Sky Sports Vault, and Sky Sports Classics without the need for a subscription. LG has also integrated the Sky News channel into its free lineup.
In addition to the Sky content, the update brings more diverse programming options, such as LG1 Christmas for festive viewing, the FIFA+ Women Channel for soccer enthusiasts, and the DP World Tour for golf fans. These new channels are part of LG Channels’ FAST (Free Ad-Supported Television) services, meaning viewers will encounter advertisements during the programs.
Beyond the channel additions, the upgrade also enhances the user experience with personalized content recommendations and a revamped user interface aimed at streamlining content discovery. A new “Quick Access” feature enables viewers to easily access channel information, the TV guide, favorites, and popular content by pressing the “OK” button on the LG Magic Remote while watching a show.

The latest upgrade, featuring a new logo and improved personalization features, aims to enhance everyday viewing experiences for millions of users globally.
