WhatsApp has exciting news for its users with a significant update on the way. The popular messaging app is introducing new features, such as iPad support, enhanced in-car functionality, improved PDF tools, and simpler music sharing options with friends.
Owned by Meta, the messaging platform aims to enhance the user experience across all devices used daily. WhatsApp stated, “Your important conversations are no longer limited to your phone alone.”
The update includes long-awaited iPad support, allowing users to create and register a WhatsApp account directly from the iPad app without the need to link it to a phone. Additionally, WhatsApp has revamped its apps for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, enabling users to manage messages, calls, and contacts directly from the car’s display, promoting safe driving practices.
Furthermore, users can now open PDF files within chats without downloading them first, and on web and desktop versions, PDFs can be highlighted and annotated using Adobe Acrobat integration. Music enthusiasts can share tracks from Apple Music and Spotify directly to their WhatsApp Status.
The new features are currently being rolled out, so users may need to update their app to access them.
